Music, Art and Design are a part of every pupil's curriculum.

In Music, the emphasis is on music-making - recorders, percussion, keyboards and choral work. Tuition is available on a wide range of instruments and there is a regular and varied programme of concerts for the various orchestras, groups and choirs.

The Art and Design course is carefully structured throughout the School and aims to give pupils the confidence to handle a variety of media and materials and to develop their own artistic expression.

Danes Hill pupils regularly win Art and Music scholarships to senior schools.

The school has a long tradition of excellence in Drama and several major productions are staged every year in our splendid new multi-purpose theatre, 'The Ark'.

These have included full-scale musicals such as Alice, Toad, The Return of Peter Pan, Bugsy Malone (many written in-house), as well as Christmas pantomimes of a humour so excruciating as to make them a legend throughout the county! Every child has a chance to take part in all aspects of theatre work: acting, stage crew, lighting, or front of house.
